Add Remarkety email subscription form to Yahoo store

A subscription form is a great tool to collect leads and grow your mailing list. This form is mostly used in the store's footer and is a simple one-step registration to your newsletter list.

Remarkety now offers a simple HTML code which you can easily embed it into your Yahoo store.

First find your unique HTML code by going to Contacts -> Embedded HTML form

There you will find the code that you will need to copy and paste into your Yahoo store.

Next go to your Yahoo store editor (under Control Panels -> Store).

Then scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and choose to edit your Variables.

In your variables list you will need to find your newsletter subscription form. It varies from template to template, but the safest bet will be to search for the word "newsletter" on that page.

Once you find it, you will need to copy your unique code from Remarkety into here.

You can leave any styling or other design settings you have here.

If you already have a code here from a previous email vendor, you will only need to change a few things:

  • Change the action to action="https://app.remarkety.com/public/subscribers/createcontact/"
  • Add the 3 lines of input type = "hidden" right bellow that:

          <input type="hidden" name="store_id" value="(your unique store ID)">
          <input type="hidden" name="form_id" value="(your unique store ID)">
          <input type="hidden" name="tag_1" value="remarkety_newsletter">

        *You can change the tag that will be added for every user who subscribes using this form from "remarkety_newsletter" to anything else, or delete this row if you do not wish to add a user tag.

  • Make sure that name="email" (email has to be all lower case letters).

Once done, you will need to update this page and then publish it.

Some Yahoo stores have a different footer for the checkout pages. If you have that set up in your store you will need to do the same thing for the checkout page newsletter subscription.
