Email counter in newsletter show wrong number?

Q: I created a newsletter with the following condition:

"Customer has purchased product from specific category"

The email counter shows a lower number then I expected. I know that there are many more customers who bought from this category.

A: First save your work. From the main menu, click on the gear icon and then on "store settings". Go to the "General settings" tab.

Make sure that the list of "Status types for completed orders" contains all the right  statuses.

Go back to to your saved newsletter and test it again.
