By default, your Remarkety account uses our shared domain for metrics and tracking purposes. To increase deliverability, build trust, and strengthen your brand, we recommend setting up your own custom sending domain.
Why set up a custom domain?
In the Remarkety app, external links are used in several places, including:
- Tracking links in emails and SMS - when a subscriber clicks on any link in an email or SMS.
- Special page links (like view in browser or unsubscribe)
- Landing pages
When you use a branded domain, all of these links display your verified store name instead of Remarkety’s default domain, keeping the customer experience consistent with your brand.
How to set up your custom domain
1. Navigate to Settings
Go to Settings > Account > Custom Domain.
2. Add your domain
Click Add Domain and enter your store’s root domain (e.g. example.com or amazon.com) in the popup window.
3. Update your DNS settings
In the DNS Management page, you’ll find the records needed to validate your domain.
- Add the provided CNAME records (Name + Value) to your hosting provider (e.g. GoDaddy, Shopify, or Cloudflare).
- If your host isn’t listed, follow your provider’s instructions for adding CNAME records.
⚠️ Important: Adding these records allows Remarkety to generate links on behalf of your domain.
4. Verify your domain
After adding the records, click Verify. Verification may take anywhere from 2 minutes to 48 hours, depending on your host.
Remarkety will notify you via email once domain verification is received.
5. Choose where to use your domain
Once your domain’s status is listed as verified, click the Actions > Custom Links buttons to decide where your custom domain will replace Remarkety’s default.
You can enable it for:
- Website tracking (links used in-app)
- Email links (view in browser, unsubscribe, tracking links)
- Landing page links
For each toggle that you activate, a new CNAME record (with Name and Value) will appear in the table. Like you did in Step 3, add the CNAME records to your hosting platform for each.
Setting up a branded domain takes just a few steps but makes a big impact on deliverability and trust. Once complete, every link and email will reflect your store’s brand, giving customers a seamless experience.
